When Arabian Transformers Co. (ATC), a manufacturer of specializing in steel structures and lifting technologies, needed a reliable lifting solution for handling heavy steel components in Saudi Arabia, it turned to Cranes and Steel, which is Verlinde's official trusted distributor and partner in the Middle East. Cranes and Steel offers Verlinde’s products such as electric hoists, winches and lifting components, while also services such as maintenance, installation and after-sales services.
The project required overhead cranes capable of lifting heavy steel components safely and precisely while adapting to site-specific challenges. Limited installation space required accurate alignment of runway beams and lifting equipment, while the building's structural characteristics required customized installation solutions.

To meet the customer’s diverse lifting requirements, Cranes and Steel designed and installed a tailored overhead crane system featuring both single-girder and double-girder configurations. The lifting capacities of the cranes were 3, 5, 10 and 30 tonnes, all operating at 60 Hz.
Following a detailed site assessment, the team installed and aligned the runway beams, assembled the crane components, and integrated the electrical and control systems. Comprehensive testing was carried out to verify safety and performance, and the team provided detailed operator and maintenance training for the client in order to ensure efficiency and safety when operating the crane.
For the lifting equipment, Cranes and Steel recommended the Verlinde EUROBLOC VT electric hoist for the client, as it was a very suitable choice for this kind of application. EUROBLOC VT was ideally suited to the demanding task of handling heavy steel components while ensuring safety, reliability and efficiency in operation.
