Verlinde, in partnership with Movequip since 2023, contributed to the optimization of sugar handling operations for a big producer in Brazil. Operating in one of the world's most significant sugar markets, the customer faced increasing pressure to manage large volumes efficiently.

  • How to maximise warehouse storage capacity for sugar Big Bags while reducing handling time.

  • How to improve overall productivity

To address these needs, Movequip designed and implemented a tailored handling system integrating Verlinde equipment. Movequip's installation included four overhead travelling cranes operating in a large warehouse. Each crane could lift multiple Big Bags simultaneously, allowing for high-capacity handling operations.  The solutions were integrated with Verlinde's lifting solutions, using Verlinde Eurobloc VT4 electric wire rope hoists, which were selected for their robustness and suitability for intensive duty cycles. Combined with high-speed travel motors, the cranes ensured fast and efficient load movement across the facility.


In addition, the system featured a customised trolley reach to optimise vertical storage. An automated Big Bag handling solution was also integrated, allowing for faster, more precise operations while enhancing overall safety.
